Reverend Wallace Averell “Chip” Hurd IV

Pastor Chip began his work at the Roslindale Congregational Church, UCC as settled pastor in October 2022. A life-long member of Congregational and United Church of Christ churches, he was ordained in 2017. He has twice been a delegate to the General Synod and was the Chair of the Hampden Association Committee on Ministry for two years. He served on the Southern New England Conference Racial Justice Task Force, and as a Level 1 Racial Justice Training Facilitator. Pursuing dialogue and understanding across denominations and multiple faith practices, Pastor Chip has been involved with the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization and the Interfaith Council of Greater Springfield. Juan Mesa PhD, Minister of Music

Juan joined the staff of Roslindale Congregational Church, UCC in April of 2018. A native of Chile, he immigrated to the U.S. in 2001. Juan holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in organ performance from Western Connecticut State University and Indiana University, and received his PhD from the Music Theory department at Indiana University. Sue Carroll, Administrative Assistant

Sue has been the administrative assistant here at RCC for more than 15 years. She has lived in the greater Roslindale/West Roxbury area all her life and enjoys her position at the office very much. Sue can be reached at rosconucc@gmail.com or (617) 323-8302.

Wesley Sawyers, Building Manager

Wesley oversees cleaning and maintenance of the church, booking and scheduling of events, opening and closing of the building, and general repair/maintenance. Wesley is originally from the United Kingdom and relocated to Roslindale in 2003. Miriam Owens, Sunday School Teacher
