No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, there is a welcome for you here, at Roslindale Congregational Church, United Church of Christ.
We are a community of progressive, inclusive Christians who invite you to join us. Come by any Sunday morning (10:30 A.M. or 9:30 in summer) and enjoy a casual, welcoming community of faith. We believe that faith is a journey and we enjoy that journey together – working to develop ourselves as individuals and as a caring group of people. We like to say that our faith is 2000 years old but our thinking is not. We are living in the world today and to that end we join together to create opportunities for worship, study, fellowship and service. We govern ourselves but are a part of the larger denomination, the United Church of Christ, which is well-known for it’s stand against racism and war and for being Open and Affirming toward people who are gay or lesbian. We believe that since Jesus never turned anyone away, the church — which is his body on earth — should also welcome everyone.
We work toward creating a better world and to that end one of our missions is the Roslindale Food Pantry (617-325-9755 for more info). We also play, laugh, eat, and are sometimes downright silly. Services are followed by a fellowship and coffee hour.
We offer educational opportunities and small study groups.
Sunday School is held during the worship service for children between the ages of 4 and 10 years old. We also offer complimentary child care service for children younger than 4 years of age. Our child care staff is competent and well-trained.
